Your bay laurel was grown by people who have applied themselves to the skill for years. Their care in pruning, fertilising and re-potting has delivered a quality product that can stand its own. Most of the staff at laurusnobilis.nl has been at our family firm in excess of fifteen years.  Having made this year-on-year investment on our part, we trust that you will enjoy your purchase for years to come. We are keen to make sure that you will.

You can ‘friend’ us on Facebook, where all kinds of laurel knowledge are exchanged and where you can also receive regular tips on ideal care for your bay laurel.

While growing the trees, we seek to keep chemical pesticides to a bare minimum. Natural predators and natural product-based pesticides take their place as much as possible. That is why we have for years now had an A-label for environmental friendliness.

In the picture to the side, you can see how an ichneumon fly has become the parasite of a cottony maple scale —

which can in some cases lead to the plant’s foliage being damaged. Even though we do our utmost to check every surface, 100% pest removal cannot be guaranteed. When all is said and done, the bay laurel will always be a natural product.

We could deliver a 100% clean product, but it would be at the cost of disproportionate damage to the environment — something that we wouldn’t want.
What we strive for is a sound balance between delivering quality products and their environmental impact. We hope you, too, seek out pesticides based on natural substances!
